Don't do any of this, with the possible exception of Conjure Flame/Frost/Lightning (though you shouldn't do it once you get access to heroes). From the sticky:

You're not a Monk/Ele/Ranger/Rit/whatever. Forget nuking, healing, protting, spirits, etc. If it doesn't enhance what you're doing as a Warrior, it's useless to you.

Once you get to a certain point in the game you'll be able to change your secondary as much as you want. Don't stress about your secondary. It really isn't a big deal.
